Maihuen cushion cactus (Maihuenia poeppigii) hails form Chile and Argentina. It forms short heads 2-4 inches tall with tiny leaves and bright white spines  and is remarkable for its hardiness being able to tolerate cold and wet. In nature it can found growing among rocks and lava fields. It makes a dramatic display in a bonsai pot with black lava rock. We sell multihead starter plants suitable for four inch pots.
